Facetime Failed
For this piece, I replicated a conversation with a friend in California in which we tried and failed to connect for a call. After moving to Paris, I struggled to communicate regularly with my loved ones over oceans and time zones. This work memorializes a fleeting digital exchange in a deliberate and careful textile practice to honor the moments of connections that often pass by unrecognized. My work seeks to materialize virtual content and provoke discussions about human connection as it is refracted through online platforms.
